The Internal Audit Unit (UAD) of the University was established in March 2003. The establishment of this unit was not intended to replace external audits but rather to serve as preparation for external audits and to improve the University's internal controls.

After 10 years of its establishment, the UAD was upgraded to the Internal Audit Office (Internal Audit) on 4 October 2013 through Administrative Circular Number 44 of 2013.
